AI & ML in action: Unlocking RWD with GenAI through Tempus Lens

Edwin M. Posadas, MD, FACP, KM, is the Co-Director of the Experimental Therapeutics Program and the Medical Director of the Center for Uro-Oncology Research Excellence (CURE) at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He has both clinical and research interests in the treatment of urologic cancers with a special focus on advanced prostate cancer and the biology of cancer metastasis. Dr. Posadas is working to define the function of FYN, CTCs, EVs, and ICs in prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, with the goal of applying his basic science findings to the development of new therapies and diagnostic tools that will directly benefit men with advanced prostate cancer.

Jess Huang is VP and GM of the Lens at Tempus, where she is driving innovation in genomics, AI and data-driven healthcare solutions. Her work bridges innovative technology with transformative solutions to drive oncology research and insights.

Maria A. Berezina is a seasoned professional in the field of data science and biomedical engineering, currently serving as VP of Real World Data at Tempus AI since January 2023. Maria's career began with roles in oncology analysis at Citeline and research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and MIT, focusing on cochlear response mechanisms and quantitative imaging. Educational background includes a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Emilie Scherrer is the Senior Director and Head of Head of Strategy, HEOR at Tempus AI and is a member of the RWE Alliance. Emilie was previously the Global Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Seagen. She has worked in biopharma (Amgen, Merck, Seagen, Pfizer) for a decade in roles across HEOR and RWE positions. She has extensive knowledge in designing and executing non-interventional, observational research studies for external dissemination (40+ publications) and regulatory submissions. Emilie earned an undergraduate degree from USC and a Masters in Health Economics from the London School of Economics / LSHTM.
